The provision of attentive, sensitive, therapeutic professional assistance, to people experiencing emotional and psychological upheaval, has been a major part of my life for over twenty years. Strong emotions, shock and confusion can follow in the wake of a death. An apt and meaningful funeral ceremony can provide: moments of quiet reflection, space for honouring or paying tribute to the person who has died; for celebrating the life lived; for expressions of loss, and for saying a last goodbye. As a celebrant, I engage in the crafting of such a ceremony, choosing, with you, readings, poetry, gestures and music to suit your needs, and preparing a eulogy to reflect your memories of the experiences, values and beliefs of the person who has died. This, I do, with heartfelt care, calm consideration and an open and creative mind.
