WE say “goodbye” to people throughout each day, but the day that we say the final farewell to a loved one is a day like no other.
I value the importance of saying that last farewell in a fitting and beautiful ceremony which respects the wishes and beliefs of the person who has died, with love and gratitude, celebrating and giving thanks for the life that has ended, and providing a source of healing and comfort to those who are grieving.
My role as a funeral celebrant is to work closely with families and individuals to create together a unique and memorable service which deepens everyone’s understanding of and connection to the person who has died.
I will work with you giving you as much or as little input as you require; be that helping you and your family or friends find words and music to express your feelings or write a eulogy, or I will plan and take the entire service for you, always working with compassion and attention to detail.

I know from bereavements in my own family how significant the funeral ceremony is in helping to navigate the complex and confusing emotions surrounding death. I am committed to working with families and professionals to produce individual and memorable funeral ceremonies of the highest standard that reflect the values and beliefs of your loved one. I will spend time with you talking about the person who has died and together we will create a heart-felt ceremony - a tribute to cherish always. I am happy to hold ceremonies that are atheist, agnostic, spiritual and those that include religious elements.
I offer ceremonies attuned to Nature for green natural burials, to mark the end of life with compassion and grace.
Whatever the spiritual beliefs were of the person who has died, we can honour them, celebrate their unique life and create sacred moments of remembrance to treasure.
When your thoughts are scattered by grief it is difficult to make decisions about arranging a final farewell and choices may seem limited, but they are not. Anything is possible. Their funeral is the last opportunity for you all to be together one more time and it is the ultimate act of love to mark this dark milestone well.
I will listen carefully to your wishes, stories and memories and help you to compose a unique meaningful funeral ceremony that reflects the essence of the person who has died. It may be elegantly simple or richly elaborate or something else altogether, but it will be skilfully woven from the traditions of our ancestors and threaded with beauty, ritual and eloquence.
On the day you can rely on me to lead or support you through the ceremony and I will happily consider travelling anywhere to carry out this vital work.
When you have loved someone dearly love goes on forever and when released by death will wrap itself around you in a gossamer cloak of stardust.
I wish to help you create a deeply personal ceremony. I believe that my role is to listen to you carefully, to offer support and guidance and to truly value your input in this process. My aim is to help you feel that the very best possible has been achieved and to provide you with a service which truly reflects, celebrates and honours the life of your loved one.
A funeral service should be as unique as the person who has died. The final farewell can reflect their life, values and beliefs and put them centre stage for the last time.
I will work closely with the family and loved ones to create a smooth flowing service that weaves together the colourful threads of the life that has ended, expressing the true nature of the person and giving voice to the loss felt by those who loved them.
I welcome and encourage those who wish to take part in the service, reading poems, playing live music or giving personal tributes.
I am happy to provide a planning service for families wishing to conduct their own service and for anyone who would like to set out their funeral wishes at any stage of life.
I am available for funerals in Buckingham shire, Oxfordshire and Northampton shire from my base in Bicester.
