You can add your name, contact details (including website if you have one), a description of you and what you offer, one (or more) photos, testimonials. Although you enter your full address, only your local town is displayed to the public.
Note: that once you’ve added your details and then signed out, you will have to wait until we ‘publish’ it before you can edit it again (apologies – a limitation of the system we’re using).

When does it go live?
It is now fully live and available to the public (as of Wed 1st Feb 2017).
When can you add your details?
Once all your assignments are complete and have been assessed and passed by Green Fuse.
Why a new system?
The ‘Find a Celebrant’ feature is a way for us to support our celebrants in finding new work and being seen. In the old system you could only list which counties you covered – which was limited re county borders and large counties. Also, whenever a celebrant changed a phone number or address we had to change it for them which, with over 100 celebrants, was becoming a major job for us.
So we decided to move to a system:
Easily find a celebrant: people can search for Green Fuse trained celebrants anywhere in the UK.
Uses Google maps: so people can quickly see who is near to them (regardless of county borders).
Control your own information: you can keep your own information up to date.
Smarter looking and more info: you can include testimonials, formatting (bold, headings, links etc.), multiple images etc.
Google searches: your entry will appear in Google searches and if you have a web site the link to it will improve your ranking (although we cannot guarantee rankings of course).
Online presence: if you don’t have a web site this can serve as a (very simple) alternative. You can even link to your listing.
Your details were on the old system – so why do you have to add them again?
- Transfering everyone’s details across to the new system would be a big a job (on top of all the weeks we have spent designing it) and of course we make no money from this service.
- It avoids us having to check that people’s details are up to date – and I suspect there’d be quite a lot of changes needed. I also suspect many people might want small changes made.
- We never had people’s full addresses and the new system requires this (although this is never displayed to the public)
- To be able to edit your details in the future, you’ll need your own email and password – and you need to set that up
- Many of you will want to take this opportunity to update your details and adapt them for the new layout, as well as utilise the extra features available.
- You can access your details from the old system and copy and paste them (you’ll see instructions for this later in the process).

Want us to do it for you?
With over 200 celebrants, the ‘Find a Celebrant’ feature became too big for us to manage and update ourselves. Which is why we have created a system that you, the celebrants, can manage online yourselves.
However, if you are uncomfortable or unable to add your own details online, you can fill in a simple online form and we’ll enter your details for you for a small fee of £25.
This method is slower, every time you want something changed you will have to ask us to do it for you, your details and any changes may take a few weeks to appear, you’ll have limited control over how the entry looks and you are limited to one photo.
Once your details have been entered, single, minor changes (such as changing a phone number or your address) we will do for free. However, anything more than this may incur a small admin fee (no more than £25).
If you decide you want to use this method, click here to fill in the form

How to edit your existing details
Note: that when you first add your details and then sign out, you will have to wait until we ‘publish’ it before you can edit it again (apologies – a limitation of the system we’re using). Once it has been published, you can edit it whenever you want to. Call us if you need it published quickly.
- Make sure you have first logged to this site (using your email address and password you provided when you registered with us) – and if you have lost or forgotten your password click here to reset it
- Find your listing using this search tool …
- Click on your listing to make it full screen …
and then click on the ‘Edit this Post’ button
See below for examples. If you can’t see the ‘Edit’ button, either you’re still looking at just the small listing or you are not logged on
you need to click on this to view full details

Ensure your address is hidden from search engines
[fix for existing celebrants only]
Your full personal address is potentially visible on the internet
This may be a problem for some of you (especially as some of you work from home). Below explains why and what you can do about it.
How we found out
We designed the ‘Find a Celebrant’ feature so that, while you enter your full address into the ‘database’ when you create your entry, only the Town and County is ever displayed to the public.
However, recently Liz Maxted (a Green Fuse celebrant) discovered that her address was visible when she did a Google search for herself.
Note: I tried to replicate Liz’s search, but couldn’t see her full address.
But, to be clear, your full address may be visible to some people when they search for you (using Google or other search engines), even if they are not visible to you when you do a search.
Why is your full address visible?
It seems that Google (and probably other search engines) is able to find the data you’ve entered and not just the data that we display on or Find a Celebrant pages.
We have contacted the company that has designed the plugin we use and they have confirmed that there is no way to hide selected data that’s been entered.
What can you do?
For those of you for whom this is a problem or concern …
We have a work around. It involves you editing your address and blanking out the private parts of the address (as well as optionally moving the map pointer slightly away from your house)
- Log into our site (see instructions here)
- Find your listing using the search
- Click on your listing to make it full screen
- Click on the ‘Edit this Post’ button
Scroll down to your address and …
And/or follow these instructions:
Map location: optional: if desired, click and drag the blue pin away from your house/address (you can use the + to zoom in on the map) – this will change the first line of address “Post_Address” and the “Post code”
Post_Address: replace this with something like “Hidden address” or “Private address” (you HAVE to have something in this field)
Post code: you can simply delete this
Click the big red button ‘PLEASE ALSO CLICK HERE TO SET YOUR LOCATION ON THE MAP BELOW’
- Scroll down and click on
- Then on the next screen click on
